This month, I wanted to understand what all the fusssss was about over Mel Robbin's new book The Let Them Theory, so I listened to about half of the audiobook. I’m not sure if I’ll finish it, but I totally understand why it resonates with people, despite the controversy around it. From the start, it’s clear that Mel didn’t coin the phrase let them—someone said it to her. But she ran with it and did some research around it. It could have been purely coincidental that another woman by the name of Cassie Phillips had written a poem called Let Them, but I do think it was worth acknowledging on Mel’s part.
